It was a cold, dark night. The thermometer read 7 degrees Farenheit when Pond Monkeys took the stage. Supposedly, the day had already gone down in history as the second coldest ever in Kansas City. However, January 23rd would also mark another important historical event: the date of Pond Monkeys' first performance in Kansas City.
Taking the Grand Emporium stage amidst an onslaught of applause, the boys proceeded to jam through a set of new and old songs. Immediately following Pond Monkeys was headliner Choozy Mothers.
